  • Day 1: Balancing Act – how can leaders deliver the multi-year structural change required to achieve the “three shifts” whilst tackling immediate, in-year priorities?

    This discussion will focus on how leaders can move beyond addressing the short-term measures required to improve processes, towards a route to delivering on longer-term priorities through disruptive new models over multiple years. We will consider ‘what’ an optimised approach to balancing these might be and ‘how’ this can be delivered, with reference to the “three shifts” that the government is set to outline in the incoming 10 Year Health Plan.

    Newton has convened over 50 finance leaders from across the NHS to compile a comprehensive report on financial management in healthcare.

  • Day 2: How do we develop and scale an effective neighbourhood model for health and care?

    The Midland Hotel, 16 Peter St, Manchester M60 2DS

    This discussion will focus on how systems can effectively connect, implement and scale the components of neighbourhood health, enabling even more people to receive care closer to home and helping to build the future model of health and care.
