London [06/05/2026]: Newton, the strategic delivery partner that works with clients to unlock complex challenges and deliver meaningful impact, has announced the appointment of Fiona Bennie as a Partner within its consumer goods and retail markets.
Newton partners with organisations in the retail, consumer goods, defence, infrastructure, and public sectors. After almost 25 years of sustainable growth, Newton is now expanding globally, with an enhanced senior leadership team and growing operational hubs in Europe, North America and Australia.
Fiona joins Newton after 20 years working across innovation, foresight, and sustainability in consumer goods and retail. Her experience includes helping leading global businesses turn long‑term complexity into opportunities that are both resilient and commercially robust, bringing a creative, future‑focused dimension to Newton’s analytical and strategic delivery strengths.
Prior to joining Newton, Fiona was a Managing Director at Accenture, where she co‑led the global consumer goods sustainability practice and its UK‑based sustainable innovation team. She led Accenture’s partnership with the World Economic Forum on the New Frontiers of Nutrition initiative and worked closely with the Consumer Goods Forum’s Healthier Lives Coalition. Her work across these collaborations and with clients informed one another, helping to reinvent portfolios, mainstream emerging categories, and create new avenues of growth and resilience.
Newton has invested heavily in bolstering its senior leadership team in consumer goods and retail, with recent hires including Tony Ward as Partner in North America, Harmen van Os as Partner in Europe, and Wil Schoenmakers as Global Head of Retail and Consumer Goods, responsible for the team’s global growth.
Wil Schoenmakers, Global Head of Retail and Consumer Goods at Newton, comments: “We have huge ambitions for the consumer team, driving growth by focussing on international expansion, strengthening our existing markets, and expanding into new market sectors. The additional strength and capability offered by Fiona will be crucial to achieving those ambitions.
Fiona thrives on solving client challenges in unexpected ways and creating environments where diverse teams can challenge assumptions and thrive. She also has a real passion for mentoring and helping people grow as part of the day‑to‑day work. Crucially, her experience in innovation, foresight, and sustainability combined with Newton’s strategic delivery excellence will create new opportunities for clients and the business.”
Fiona Bennie, Partner at Newton, comments: “The consumer industries are at an inflection point, facing margin pressure, shifting consumer values, the impacts of climate change, and supply chain uncertainties. Newton’s forensic rigour, deep client relationships, and delivery strength is the perfect foundation to help current and future clients navigate this complexity. I’m excited to use my experience to help the team achieve and exceed that potential as the business continues its ambitious growth journey.”
