What you’ll do
Our two internship programmes, Summer Academy and Pioneering Potential Programme, offer the same incredible opportunities. However,
Pioneering Potential encourages talented people from low socio-economic backgrounds to pursue a career that might not have been accessible before.
With no previous experience needed, you’ll receive two weeks’ training on processes and methodology, while learning about personal brand, communication and presentation skills. The final final two weeks will be spent working on a live project with our people.
Those who shine are offered positions at Newton. So if you’re successful, you’re guaranteed a Graduate Consultant role on finishing university.
Equal opportunities
A career in consulting is one we believe in, but we realise not everyone has the same opportunity of access.
Our Pioneering Potential Programme seeks to change that, by encouraging talent from lower socio-economic backgrounds to get involved at Newton, and pursue a career they may not have found available to them previously. Find out more about it here.
Application process
Our application process is just like how we work: efficient. There’s no cover letter or CV needed.

Skills
Our internships offer a taste of consulting – no experience needed. What we look for are analytical and conceptual capabilities: sharp critical thinkers with strong communication skills. Outstanding interpersonal skills are needed, those who can balance EQ & IQ, and bring their whole self to the team.
Work is fast-paced, with new challenges every day. So we need self-starters, ready to take on responsibility and dive in.
Benefits and perks
As well as the experience you’ll get as part of the programme, you’ll be paid a pro-rata salary of £24,000, with your expenses while covered too.
For those who showcase the skills we’re looking for on the programme, there’s an opportunity to be offered a Graduate consultant role at the end of your University degree.
