London [02/03/2026]: Newton, the strategic delivery partner working with clients to unlock complex challenges and deliver meaningful impact, has announced the appointment of Benoît Laclau as Senior Partner for Global Energy and Infrastructure.
Newton works with leading organisations across consumer, defence, energy and infrastructure, and public sectors to deliver transformation with a lasting, competitive edge. The energy and infrastructure business helps accelerate and unlock capital programmes, re-engineer operations, and enhance workforce capabilities to help clients transform at pace and deliver better outcomes. By taking a unique approach which is data-driven, digitally enabled, and human-powered, Newton plays a critical role in solving its clients’ most complex, deep-rooted, and large-scale challenges.
Now, the business has brought Benoît Laclau on board to lead its energy and infrastructure expansion globally. Benoît joins with over 30 years of international experience leading some of the largest and most complex business transformations across the energy, utilities, and infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining Newton, he spent 14 years at EY as Managing Partner for UK and Ireland and global lead across energy, power and utilities. Before joining EY, Benoît was Managing Director of Strategy and Transformation at EDF Energy.
Benoît’s appointment complements a suite of senior international hires at Newton over the last year, with Wil Schoenmakers joining as Global Head of Retail and Consumer Goods and Tony Ward leading North American expansion for the Consumer team from Chicago.
Benoît will also sit on the firm’s operating board, helping deliver Newton’s strategy to meet the needs of its growing international client base. He joins Dame Emily Lawson as Chief Operating Officer on the operating board, following her recruitment to Newton in October last year.
